Katrina Amaro
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Katrina became hooked on Front Runners New York in 2005 after completing the 6-mile Central Park loop for the first time with encouragement from Claudia Cummings. Since then she’s taken advantage of all the club has to offer and the camaraderie has motivated her to run her first marathons and triathlons among many other races.
In addition to capturing the beauty of her fellow Front Runners through photography, Katrina has served the club as Womens VP in 2007 and Director at Large in 2008, 2009, and 2013. She has also designed materials for multiple Pride Runs and has created videos and graphics for FRNY’s Awards Night yearly from 2008 to 2016. She is a past recipient of the Guy Zelenak Volunteer of the Year Award along with Multisport Athlete of the Year for 2008 and 2014.
Katrina is fortunate to explore her creativity in her day job as well as Assistant Art Director in charge of On-Air Graphics at CBS2 News New York.
"Through the club I have met people who have become like family to me. I am honored to be part of documenting the history of Front Runners New York."
