Kent M. C. Lau
With a BFA in Studio Arts from Harvard, Kent has worked extensively in editorial and fashion illustration, set and costume design, publishing, web, and photojournalistic and editorial photography. For years, he shot with professional cameras and lens. He's since rejected the restrictions of cumbersome, heavy equipment, and has been enjoying the freedom of point-n-shoot, disposable, and most recently, iPhone cameras. "Great sports photography isn't about expensive equipment, but developing an eye for the perfect shot". His love affair with photography continued after joining FRNY in 2010. As a coach and athlete, he's inspired by his teammate's dedication and joy in their training, racing, and socials; and has had many opportunities to capture with his camera—"that special moment in time that'll never be repeated."
Pictured here are Kent's photographs from 2013-2015 Pride Run, marches and related activities. To browse more of his photographs, visit his collection page.
