To Russia with Love
Title
To Russia with Love
Description
Video describes the FRNY initiative of 2014 "To Russia with Love." As Russia hosted the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, FRNY set the goal to cumulatively run at least 4,664 miles - the distance between New York City and Moscow - during the month preceding the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics on Sunday, February 23rd, 2014. This is in response to Russian laws that prompted government-sanctioned violence against the Russian LGBT community.
Members in video include Meryl Wimberly, Michal Kaczmarski, David Lin, Ekong Bassey Ekong, Leah Serinsky, Katrina Amaro, Jonathan Schneiderman and Jim McCarrick.
Includes a second version of the video with Russian sub-titles.
